OFFICIALS ALSO BRING HOME AWARDS

Each year the officials at the AWSA National Tournament vote for the
outstanding judge, scorer, driver, and technical controller from among
those appointed to the tournament; i.e. judges vote for judges, drivers
for drivers, etc. This year two SCR officials were recipients of these
awards.
T. Caldwell received the Tommy Dorwin Award for the Outstanding Judge at
the National Tournament and
Denise Caldwell received the Mary Jo Power Award for Outstanding Scorer
at the National Tournament.
This was Denise’s second consecutive year to receive the scoring award.
Congratulations to both for their significant contributions to this
tournament.

Denise Caldwell and David West
brought home high honors from the
2008 AWSA National tournament
in scoring and driving respectively.
Denise received the
Mary Jo Power Award
for best scorer
at the 5-day tournament and
David received the
Fred Wiley Award for best driver.
As you can see,
the SCR has two of the finest! |

sky over northwest Houston as well as over in northern Mississippi
you will know the reason. Congratulations to both for
their outstanding work.
